Global Wilders®

Global Wilders® inspires, encourages, and mobilises community action to tackle the climate crisis.

We work with schools, communities, and youth clubs to deliver activities focused on people, places, plants, and animals – with the aim to restore nature and conserve biodiversity, and support community regeneration.

Often, businesses will sponsor their local school to run Global Wilders®. Students are rewarded with Climate Action North Global Wilders® badges for taking part.

Activities and learning opportunities are varied and include sowing ‘pollinator-friendly’ wildflower seeds, planting trees, taking part in nature walks, book wilding readings, litter picks, and beach cleans.

A talented seven-year-old girl has designed an enamel pin badge to help in the climate crisis and has become the first Climate Action North Global Wilder. Loralai Murray, from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, has a keen interest in the climate crisis, and chose to support action by designing an Earth pin.
