The role bees, and other pollinators, play in the food chain is so important that, in the UK alone, their services are worth around £691 million a year in terms of the value of the crops they pollinate. It would cost the UK at least £1.8 billion a year to employ people to do the work of these pollinators.

The Climate Action North Business Action Toolkit is a fully automated and professional web-based portal designed by Duco Digital to assist organisations to identify risks relevant to small businesses and build resilience to safeguard its future. It will also help businesses begin to take meaningful climate action to get on the road to net zero.

Climate Action North received £6,400 from the Society’s 5% Pledge earlier this year to create a ‘Pollinator Parks®’ site in Darlington, where bees and other vital pollinators will benefit.
