The Climate Action North training academy helps individuals and businesses with their continuing professional development (CPD) and to tackle the climate crisis.

The online training courses will include key areas and topics such as community rewilding; energy efficiency; renewable energy; reducing emissions and net zero; ocean pollution and single use plastics; environmental awareness and resource efficiency.

Climate Action North’s Managing Director, Sharon Lashley, said: “The launch of our training academy supports the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report’s findings and the need for everyone to get on board with the fight to minimise the climate crisis. All too often we hear that people don’t know where to start to address the climate emergency and take appropriate action.

“This suite of courses will help people gain the necessary knowledge, awareness and recognised formal certification to help them make the right choice, support their CPD and take climate action.

“Because the training courses are CPD Accredited, they will also help individuals improve their workplace skills and knowledge and continually upskill throughout their career. Furthermore, our CPD courses will also enable them to clearly showcase their further learning and development, which will help create a competitive advantage within the job market.”

The courses will be delivered online and in-person at affordable costs with all proceeds going towards the delivery of Climate Action North initiatives.
